Tonight is the final night of As You Like It! Thank you to everyone who has come out to see this delightful show in the park. As you may have noticed, the weather forecast for this evening has been... inconsistent.

MVLCT is thrilled to announce auditions for Ken Ludwig’s The Game’s Afoot (or Holmes for the Holidays) directed by Bill Croghan. Auditions will be held September 18th and 19th at 7:00 p.m. at the First Street Community Center in Mount Vernon.

Last night was the opening night of As You Like It and it was a fun-filled evening in the park! The show was wild, the crowd was great, and the weather was perfect. And although we expect clear skies for Friday’s performance, on Saturday we may not be so lucky.

Odyssey Theatre for the Young of Art Summer Drama Workshop proudly presents The Wizard of Oz with two shows only: Friday, June 24th at 7pm and Saturday, June 25th at 2pm.

Mount Vernon-Lisbon Community Theatre is seeking a Stage Manager, a Lighting Tech, and a Sound Tech for Shakespeare in the Park in the Fall. Each position is paid a stipend. Performances are the 2nd and 3rd weekends in September.

Longtime MVLCT Board Member Wendy Jo McClain, 58, of Mount Vernon, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, surrounded by family and friends after a bout with cancer.
